Supreme Court finding of unsatisfactory professional conduct
The Supreme Court of Tasmania has upheld a determination of the Board to reprimand Mr Christopher John Boland following a finding of unsatisfactory professional conduct. Mr Boland is a legal practitioner and principal at Chris Boland Lawyers. Mr Boland had appealed an earlier determination of the Board arising from a complaint in August 2010.
In addition to reprimanding Mr Boland, Her Honour Justice Tennent ordered Mr Boland to repay legal fees to the Complainant in the sum of $11,300 and the Board’s costs incurred in investigating and hearing the complaint in the fixed sum of $30,000.
